After a false start at Port Talbot docks (meaning the gates were closed) we head back down the M4 towards Pontardulais and to Whitesprings in the hope of catching us some carp which is something we haven't done since mid October.
Our initial plans on arriving were to fish the canal in the hope of catching some of the bigger Perch now that the weather was much colder, but the plans soon changed after sitting on the canal for nearly three hours lightly feeding up and trying several baits without a touch.
So with day seemingly speeding by without a single fish being caught we moved to the match lake to sit out the remaining hours of daylight.
The match lake paid off well for Steve with him landing ten Carp and a large with me only landing one Carp which was a lifesaver as I would have hated to have blanked especially on the match lake.
