Me and Steve set out hoping for a lovely sunny day with the chance of some floater fishing, but with the skies being so over cast and with no Carp showing on the surface and the vast quantity of ducks I tried freelineing some sinking baits with the hope of catching something different....and this turned out to be quite successful with some large Bream, Roach and Rudd making an appearance and further more a handful of Tench which fought harder than a carp triple its size.
Steve pole fished most of the day picking up the odd bonus fish from a rod placed the margins, after losing a golden Tench he managed to pick up a 10lb Mirror Carp.
